I was reading about this Italian Governor of Campania called Vincenzo de Luca who was advocating the use of flamethrowers (for fuck sake) on dissenters to the policy of being imprisoned in their homes. I haven't listened to Crowded House for quite a while for some unknown reason that only God can answer. Now - having spent the last couple of hours binge listening to Neil Finn's honey sweet melodic magnificence - I am filled with JOY and the essence of some beautiful feeling that i don't have a word for. Perhaps there is no word. Takes me back to Australia and this run down old B&B that got turned into an hostel in Cork City, down near the Railway station. "Tell me all the things you would change... I told you before that I am not afraid of "being dead" because I dont believe that your soul (whatever that is) dies with your body. I really dont. I dont relish the transition bit though coz it might be nasty. Ideally I would like to die peacefully in my sleep like my father did (unlike his terrified screaming passengers).
Stinging nettle tea
I went out today too. I had intended to pick some stinging nettles that are shooting up along the roadside.
